The Global pandemic COVID-19 has taught us more about our limitations and weakness which also made us to wear a new glass to oversee the society. Investing in human capital is an investment that returns huge dividends. By improving the capacity of people to govern, educate, and produce for themselves, the Foundations for long-term peace and prosperity can be laid and disasters averted or mitigated. For the past 2 decades, IVDS has been working in the field of rural development, social mobilization, child rights, non-formal education, food security & sustainable livelihood and environmental protection, disaster risk management, capacity build up and women empowerment.
The prime focus of its activities goes on to disadvantaged people, ultra-poor households of rural areas, so called untouchable castes (lower ethnic minorities), conflict victims, children and women. It has been working with different donors since its establishment. Up to now it has already worked with different national and international development partners. This year we worked with Government of Nepal, Plan International, Norec, Swiss Helvetas and different local governments. I want to thank all of them for being our tireless partner and believing on us.
For sure, social change is a long journey but your support and regular supervision have motivated us to walk further.
I express my deep sense of appreciation for all my colleagues for their sincere efforts to achieve organizations goal and I also thank to our Governing Board, members of General Body and our Advisors for providing able guidance and support to us throughout the year.
